A Hemp Research Update and Information Session will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, from 1:00pm to 3:45pm at Cornell Cooperative Extension, Ag Development Conference Room (next to the Taste of NY Store), 840 Upper Front St, Binghamton, NY 13905.
Speakers and topics will include:
- Cornell research projects status and update by Dr. Larry Smart, Professor, Horticulture Section, School of Integrative Plant Science, Cornell AgriTech
- Hemp research permit program update by Mr. Chris Logue, Directory, Plant Industry, NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets,
- Industry and farmer perspectives – with Q&A session
This meeting offers the opportunity to learn about findings from two years of Cornell research projects, farmer’s perspectives, and how to navigate the process of permit applications.
