Interested in growing hemp in New York in 2018?

On September 20, 2017, Governor Cuomo announced that the NY Department of Agriculture and Markets is now accepting applications from those interested in participating in the NYS Hemp Agricultural Research Pilot Program.

Governor Cuomo’s official press release details the expansion of acreage planted to hemp from 2016 to 2017 and describes some of what is going on at the state level to ease the regulatory burden on producers.

For more information about the NYS Hemp Agricultural Research Program, including the application, visit the the NY Department of Agriculture and Markets, Division of Plant Industry.  The application period is open now and will remain open through November 22, 2017.
