IND HEMP operates industrial-scale hemp grain and fiber processing centers in Montana. IND HEMP’s mission is to create new and rewarding opportunities for rural agriculture communities and companies. IND HEMP believes in the importance of American-grown and processed hemp and integrating these products into the food, feed, and fiber industries. IND HEMP has contracted with over 50 growers for over 25,000 acres, predominantly in Montana, but has also worked with producers in Washington, Oregon, North Dakota, Texas, Kansas, Idaho, Indiana, and Colorado

The supply chain for the nascent hemp industry can be broadly described in three sectors;

1. Agriculture – raw materials

2. Processing – 1st touch agri-processor and secondary conversion

3. Markets – end, bulk B2B and distribution

This talk will address the necessary alignment of these three sectors. Special attention will be given to current bottlenecks and future opportunities. Examples and discussion will be provided on hemp supply chains in other parts of the world. Discussions will cover topics in both fiber (bast and hurd) and grain (and seed).
