Kendra Meier has been the Chief Operating Officer of HPS Food & Ingredients since 2020 and has been with HPS and Harvest Genetics International (HGI) since 2015, holding various positions within the company since she joined. Today she is responsible and oversees all areas of the supply chain including hempseed and faba bean production and procurement, grain cleaning and ingredient processing, and finished ingredient logistics and sales.

Kendra grew up and learned the hemp ropes on a large Saskatchewan grain farm, where the beginning of HGI varieties breeding took place in 2001. Just prior to starting HPS, Kendra completed her Masters in Plant Sciences at the U of S in 2016. She also previously worked at Corteva Agriscience in their seed production division as well as previous roles with Environment Canada.

With experience and passion for all aspects of the supply chain, Kendra can easily be found speaking to groups of growers about hemp and faba production best practices and new genetics, working with the processing plant managers to deliver the latest HPS food ingredient, and helping customers with innovative hemp ingredient applications.
