On September 20, 2017, Governor Cuomo announced that the NY Department of Agriculture and Markets is now accepting applications from those interested in participating in the NYS Hemp Agricultural Research Pilot Program.
Governor Cuomo’s official press release details the expansion of acreage planted to hemp from 2016 to 2017 and describes some of what is going on at the state level to ease the regulatory burden on producers.
